Hi, I’m Danielle — a math teacher and tutor with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and years of experience helping students succeed. I specialize in identifying and bridging learning gaps so middle and high schoolers can build confidence, master concepts, and finally feel like math makes sense.

How I Help Students

Many students struggle in math not because they lack ability, but because of gaps in foundational understanding. My first priority is to uncover and strengthen those areas, building confidence and core skills so students feel ready to take on new challenges.

I begin by observing how each student approaches math and identifying where they’re getting stuck. Then, we create a clear, focused plan that supports both their foundational gaps and current classwork.

Here’s how I support student success:

📚 Strengthen Understanding

• Identify and close gaps from previous years
• Reinforce current topics, homework, and test prep
• Break down vocabulary and complex concepts into manageable steps

🧠 Support How They Learn

• Design practice problems and strategies that match how they think
• Teach problem-solving techniques
• Encourage students to explain their reasoning to deepen understanding

💬 Build Confidence & Motivation

• Make learning engaging with humor and real-life connections
• Help students develop study habits and academic skills that last

My goal is to empower your student with the understanding, skills, and confidence they need to succeed in math and beyond.

Hi, I’m Danielle! I’m a middle and high school math teacher with a BS in Mechanical Engineering (Magna Cum Laude, University of Miami) and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA. I’m a member of the Tau Beta Pi Honors Society and have professional experience working in the aerospace industry, which strengthened my skills in precision, problem-solving, and persistence.

Over the years, I’ve seen how many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they’ve missed key building blocks along the way. That’s why my tutoring focuses on identifying and bridging those gaps, building confidence, and helping students see math as something they can master.

Beyond math and engineering, I’m a yoga instructor and a passionate dog, travel, and nature lover. I bring all these experiences together to create a supportive, engaging, and balanced learning environment where students feel encouraged, capable, and ready to succeed.
